Day in Day out....Oh my, its Tuesday, January 03, 2006 already

No point

If someone refuses to change, can we change them?

If a horse refuses to drink, can we lead it to the well and force it?

I believe it takes a great deal of maturity to fully comprehend one's flaws and to acknowledge it. Yet rarely such maturity are found. We believe very much in ourselves and we see the world as we see it. Others' opinions are simply an extension of a virgin territory that we never venture into.

Seeking to change is difficult, yet in our lives, the most prickly part is to recognise it.

Many people say they want to grow up. Others say that they have grown up. As from above, we live in a world of our views. What we see and what we think. We are confined to our myopic well, staring blankly up to the limited sky. Some may protest at this point that it is not true. They are capable of handling almost anything foreign to their brains. They are so humble and remorseful. Yet, the truth is, they never are. I am one of them. Right now I recognise this flaw, yet I refuse to change.

The irony is that others may look upon you as egoistic or obnoxious. What's with "Just be yourself?" and yet, to conform to the views of others?

Sadly, the world has a pair of judgemental eyes. Majority usually wins. The world conforms to the views of the majority.

I kind of find it funny to label people as homos if two guys are great friends, especially if they are almost together everytime. Homosexuality in most people's mind is a no-no. Even the most liberal has a tiny moral compass spinning wildly everytime the word "gay", "lesbian" and "homo" is spoken. It is the truth. No one is saint even to admit that they are "ok" with anything. COW-FECES!

No-one has the right to judge.

I once caught "Wife-swap". This is a show which swaps the spouses of two totally different-natured family. In this episode, Grace from the lesbian family with an adopted kid, Elizabeth was swaped with "I-forgot-her-name" from a conservative, Christian-devote family. Naturally clashes erupted. Mrs "I-forgot-her-name" chasted the lesbian family as "depraved".

Mrs "I-forgot-her-name" was verbose about the No-nos about homosexuality and even acused Grace of being a sexual-predator. It was a sad scene when Grace said that they are humans, as human as anyone could be. They are only trying to live a normal life without judgement.

Only God can judge. No-one on earth, however righteous he claim, can judge.

I try not to judge. But I am a human, a closet bitch. I love to yak about others' flaws to my best friends. I pass comments. Glaring ones. Those REALLY OBVIOUS ONES. But still that is no excuse. Yet I am a fallible human. I try to change. Over the years, my bitchiness has calmed down a lot. But still I love to crap and yak.

It is sad if someone doesn't change. It is even sadder if he/she fails to notice her flaws and continue flauting the flaws. Yet, I cannot judge.

~~~~~~But I can still laugh at YOU!!!!! HHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.............
