As the fish swims away
She rested by the lake. Her curious eyes looked into the marine world, for the water was untainted and was tranquilly clear. She caught sight of a lone fish. It floated lifelessly near to the surface. It wanted to kill itself by depriving itself of oxygen.
She looked closer. She saw a school of fish nearby.
"Little fishy, why do you want to die?" She asked innocently.
"I am different from the rest and I hated it." The fish replied as it struggled to raise its gills out of the water.
"Little fish, how then are you different?" She edged nearer to the water.
"They behaved exactly how the school of the fish expected of them. They acted how the rest expected of them. They do stuff so that they appear normal." The fish now managed to float on on side, exposing its left side of the gills out of the water.
She went nearer to the water, and sat by the bank.
"Then why do you seek death? Will that change anything?" She paddled the water and drew the fish closer to her.
"It will not. They are already modeled and moulded into that kind of group behaviour. At least, for me, it will change something. I hope to die and reincarnate back to a fish. And I will start afresh and do what they expect of me." The fish struggled and flipped over to its right side, exposing its gills out of the water.
She walked into the water, slowly caressing the fish's scales. "Don't be sad. I will make you my pet. You don't have to die."
The fish resumed its normal swimming position. "I don't have to die, but lady, I'm hungry. I have yet eaten any good food."
"I have good food and I will share it with you." She replied with a sense of achievement. She has managed to bring forth a hope to the fish.
The fish swam nearer to her. Its big glossy eyes filled with emotion and he yelled, "CHARGE! HUMANS ON THE LINE!"
The school of fish that was near them cleaned her up. Leaving behind a pile of bones and some hair and a ripped dress.
