Keep calling....its for a good cause not for taps and first-class flights....

It was heartening to know that the President's Star Charity show managed to break last year's record and amassed $3.8 million dollars for the people in need.

In spite of the fiasco of golden tap, peanuts earnings and first-class comfort, Singaporeans chose to believe in charity and kept the flame of charity burning bright. It was a good sign that people poured out their donations, it showed that Singaporeans generally are rational and discerning.

Another important thing to learn from the show was that there was not any stunts that appeared dangerous (seriously, do you think artises will RISK their lives?, yet donations kept coming in.

There isn't a need to appeal to our sense of compassion FOR the artistes. We NEED to keep the compassion for the people in need.

No use threatening Singaporeans to keep donating IF NOT the artistes will not COME DOWN, will CONTINUE to HANG OVER THE KNIVES...BLAh BlAH bLaH....COME ON....you know who you are....seriously....

One thing I sincerely pray for is that Singaporeans to donate with their hearts and not be lured by a promise of "good live", good karma, condominiums, cars, cash.....

It is important for the organisers to show US how OUR donations have aided the people in need to continue living....most importantly to continue living in a dignified way and not some second-class or third-class citizens of Singapore. I guess such will appeal to us even more.....we have been shielded from such tradegies and cold realities....we lived our lives thinking that starvation exists in Africa and in newspapers....it will be great for us to get to know these people in need and to see how our donations can bring a comfort smile to their tired faces.
